Sujangarh is a town and tehsil of Churu district in Rajasthan, India. It is known for beautiful temples, havelis and 18th century forts. It  is located at 27.7° N 74.47° E[1]. It has an average elevation of 312 metres (1023 feet).
Population
As of 2001 India census, Sujangarh had a population of 83,808. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Sujangarh has an average literacy rate of 64%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 74%, and female literacy is 55%. In Sujangarh, 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Railways: Sujangarh Railway Station is connected by  train to Degana, Ratangarh, Churu, Rewari, Bikaner, Sadulpur.
Roads:  Sujangarh is well connected by roads with almost all major cities of Rajasthan and New Delhi. National Highway 65 passes through Sujangarh that connects it to Jodhpur and Chandigarh. Other than this, Rajasthan Mega Highway also passes from the town which connects it to Ajmer and Hanumangarh. The direct bus service is available for Delhi, Surat, Ahamdabad, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Kota, Ajmer, Bikaner, Ganganagar, Hisaar, Roorkee, Haridwar and many other near and far towns.

 Late Kanhaiyalal Sethia :[कन्हैयालाल सेठिया],  the great Rajasthani poet, Kanhiyalal sethia is no more. He died on 11th Nov. 2008 at Kolakata. His famous geets - 'Dharti Dhora ri..." and "Patal and Pithal..."  are the most popular and famous  geets not only in India but  also in other countries. He born in 11 Sept., 1919 in Sujangarh  In 1943 he came in contact with Mahatma Gandhi and took part in Quit India movement ".  He wrote several books and famous poems. In the year 2004 he was awarded PadmaShree.

 P.K. Mishra expired
 
P.K. Mishra the  lyricist of Sujangarh expired on  26th December 2008 at Chennai. He  was the son of   Pandit Girishchandra Mishra  
   P K Mishra, who penned this song, along with two dozen other such popular songs
   'दिल है छोटा सा छोटी सी आशा...'    
  ‘Dil hai chhota sa, chhoti si asha...’,  He was 65 and is survived by his wife and two sons. He  lived and worked in Chennai with music director A R Rahman and gave the Bollywood a number of musical hits like ‘Hindustani’, ‘Hum Se Hai Muqabala’ and ‘Vishwa Vidhata’.
